Lurelab 5-Inch Senko Mold: 60-Day Review

What I tested
I poured 400 baits through the Lurelab 5" Senko Mold over about eight weeks. Six base colors across three hardness recipes (finesse, stock, and flipping). I intentionally abused it — no mold release, minimum preheat, aggressive demolds — to see how it would hold up in a less-than-perfect workflow.
What I loved
The cavity finish is the standout. Every bait came out with a glass-smooth surface, no machining marks, no pitting. The parting lines around the cavity are tight enough that flash is minimal — I can trim a batch of 10 baits in under two minutes with scissors. Demolding is almost automatic; a gentle flex of the mold pops baits free without a pick.
What I'd change
The sprue openings are a touch narrow for fast pours with cooler plastisol. If you are pouring below 335°F you will see occasional short-fills in the tail. Easy workaround: pour hotter, or open the sprue by 1mm with a round file. We are widening this for the production run based on this testing.
Who it's for
This is the mold I recommend to anyone who wants to stop buying senkos. After ~60 baits you have paid for the mold in material savings, and every bait after that is pure upside. Finesse bass anglers, drop-shotters, and wacky-rig devotees will all get their money's worth. Highly recommended.
